Es publiquen nous resultats de l’estudi internacional sobre cirurgia i covid-19 en què participa Althaia

La revista especialitzada Colorectal Disease ha publicat recentment nous resultats de l’estudi multicèntric internacional sobre cirurgia i covid-19, l’anomenat CovidSurg, en el qual participa la Fundació Althaia. L’article porta per títol The impact of surgical delay on resectability of colorectal cancer: An international prospective cohort study.
La investigació, que ha inclòs 5.453 pacients de 304 hospitals de 47 països, ha permès constatar que la demora quirúrgica del càncer de còlon a conseqüència de la pandèmia no ha compromès el procediment ni l’índex de supervivència del pacient. Podeu consultar l’article en aquest enllaç.
El CovidSurg està format per centres de més de 120 països i té per objectiu avaluar l’impacte de la covid en l’eficàcia i seguretat dels procediments quirúrgics. La col·laboració d’Althaia amb el CovidSurg destaca per la seva altíssima producció científica. Des de l’esclat de la pandèmia i fins a data d’avui, els professionals del servei de Cirurgia General i de l’Aparell Digestiu han participat en una quinzena d’articles, la immensa majoria publicats en revistes de primer quartil i amb un factor d’impacte acumulat de 231,011 i més de 1.000 citacions acumulades.
Destaquen principalment les publicacions a The Lancet, The Lancet Oncology i Journal of Clinical Oncology, revistes de gran rellevància en el camp de la Medicina i l’Oncologia i amb un factor d’impacte totes elles per sobre de 40.
